AT 710 PM CDT DIAMOND MISSOURI WEATHER SPOTTERS SPOTTED A TORNADO
IN THE TOWN OF DIAMOND. THE FUNNEL HAD LIFTED HOWEVER BRIEF TOUCH
DOWNS MAY YET OCCUR. THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTH AT 30
MILES AN HOUR.
THE TOWNS OF NEOSHO...GRANBY AND GOODMAN ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE
STORMS.

A FEW OF THESE STORMS HAVE PRODUCED FUNNEL CLOUDS. THESE ARE CALLED COLD AIR FUNNELS AND ARE NOT CONNECTED DIRECTLY WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS. THEY ARE SHORT LIVED AND GENERALLY DO NOT CAUSE MUCH DAMAGE...HOWEVER HIGH WINDS MAY REACH THE GROUND. ONE SUCH FUNNEL DID TOUCH DOWN SHORTLY AFTER 515 PM NEAR BOLIVAR MISSOURI DAMAGING A BARN AND HOUSE. PEOPLE SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR FURTHER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. WB
