IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI ...JASPER COUNTY AT 1100 PM...RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 10 MILES NORTH OF JOPLIN MOVING TO THE EAST AT 30 MPH. THE TOWNS OF JOPLIN...AND CARTHAGE ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
