IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI ...JASPER COUNTY A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST SOUTH OF JOPLIN IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CITY OF JOPLIN...WEBB CITY AND CARTHAGE BY 615 PM CDT. LARGE HAIL...HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND DAMAGING WINDS ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. MINOR FLOODING OF UNDERPASSES AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE FROM THESE STORMS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
