000 TTAA00 KSGF 070253 RRA SVRSGF MOC009-109-070345- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 850 PM CST SUN MAR 6 1994 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 945 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI ...BARRY COUNTY...LAWRENCE COUNTY RADAR AT 850 PM CST INDICATED DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS IN A CLUSTER OVER NEWTON AND SOUTHERN JASPER COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST 20 MPH. THE LARGE CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS THREATENING ALL OF NEWTON COUNTY. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO NORTHERN BARRY AND LAWRENCE COUNTIES IMMEDIATELY. CITIES IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS ARE MONETT...MT VERNON...AND AURORA. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING EAST 15 MPH. STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM IN THIS LINE WAS NEAR NEOSHO. PEOPLE IN THE COUNTIES OF NEWTON AND SOUTHERN JASPER SHOULD EXPECT HAIL AND TORRENTIAL RAIN AS THESE TUNDERSTORMS MOVE ACROSS JASPER AND NEWTON COUNTIES UNTIL 830 PM TONIGHT.
