THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER SOUTHERN RANDOLPH AND NORTHERN
POCAHONTAS COUNTY WEST VIRGINIA DURING THE AFTERNOON. AT 5 PM EDT
THE HEAVIER RAINSHOWERS WERE FROM VALLEY HEAD IN SOUTHERN
RANDOLPH COUNTY EAST TO NEAR DURBIN IN POCAHONTAS COUNTY WEST
VIRGINIA, AND BETWEEN GREENBANK AND DURBIN IN POCAHONTAS COUNTY.
THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE REMAINING NEARLY STATIONARY.

SOME OF THE HEAVIER THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING RAINFALL AMOUNTS
IN EXCESS OF 1 INCH AN HOUR, AND SOME WERE MOVING OVER THOSE
AREAS WHICH RECEIVED THE HEAVY RAINFALL YESTERDAY.

SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS WILL RISE QUICKLY IN AREAS OF HEAVIER
RAINFALL. SOME MAY RISE TO OR ABOVE BANKFULL.

IF YOU LIVE NEAR A SMALL STREAM OR CREEK, OR IN A FLOOD PRONE AREA
KEEP A CLOSE WATCH ON WATER LEVELS DURING AND AFTER THE HEAVIER
RAINS. IF WATER LEVELS BEGIN TO RISE QUICKLY, BE PREPARED TO
