128 PM EDT THU JUN 16 1994

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS DEVELOPING ACROSS THE
MOUNTAINS OF NORTHERN AND EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA...WESTERN MARYLAND...

WEATHER RADAR AT 125 PM INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS NEAR HUNTERSVILLE
IN POCAHONTAS COUNTY, NEAR ELKINS, HARMAN AND VALLEY HEAD IN RANDOLPH
COUNTY AND OVER EASTERN GARRETT COUNTY MARYLAND.

THESE STORMS ARE MOVING VERY SLOW AND WILL PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN,
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING, GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL. SOME STORMS
COULD DUMP ENOUGH RAIN TO BRING SMALL STREAMS UP AND POSSIBLY OUT OF
THEIR BANKS. FLOODING TO LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS IS POSSIBLE.

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES MOVE INDOORS TO SAFE SHELTER. IF YOU
ARE ALONG A SMALL STREAM OR CREEK, KEEP WATCH ON THE WATER LEVELS IF
HEAVY RAINS OCCUR. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR A
WARNING IS ISSUED.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS OF WEST
VIRGINIA AND EXTREME WESTERN MARYLAND THIS AFTERNOON. MONITOR NOAA
WEATHER RADIO FOR THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
