SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  715 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...MARION COUNTY...MONONGALIA COUNTY
 
AT 509 PM EDT WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER WESTERN
MONONGALIA COUNTY OF WEST VIRGINIA JUST SOUTH OF BLACKSVILLE. ANOTHER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER EASTERN WETZEL COUNTY WAS JUST ENTERING WESTERN
MARION COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST TO NORTHEAST AT 10 TO 15
MILES AN HOUR.
 
THESE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE RAINFALL OF AN INCH OR
MORE IN AN HOUR OR LESS. RAINFALL OF THIS RATE MAY CAUSE STREAMS AND
CREEKS TO OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS. URBAN AND POOR DRAINAGE FLOODING IS ALSO
A POSSIBILITY.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...
DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR
PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME
OR BUSINESS.  IF FLASH FLOODING DEVELOPES MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY
