NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREENSBORO NC
347 PM EDT TUE JUN 21 1994

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE NORTHWEST PIEDMONT
UNTIL 1000 PM...

AT 340 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM CASWELL COUNTY SOUTHWEST THROUGH THE TRIAD
TO DAVIE COUNTY.  THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURING OVER
REIDSVILLE IN ROCKINGHAM COUNTY...AND OVER THE CITY OF WINSTON-SALEM IN
FORSYTH COUNTY.

THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORM WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.

ALTHOUGH SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT CURRENTLY OCCURING ACROSS THE NORTHWEST
PIEDMONT...A FEW THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP THIS EVENING WILL HAVE THE
POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS...DAMAGING WINDS...AND LARGE
HAIL.

ALL PERSONS IN THE NORTHWEST PIEDMONT ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN ALERT FOR
CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND TO SEEK SAFE SHELTER IF TfHREATENING
WEATHER APPROACHES.
