...RAINFALL HAS BEEN HEAVY IN A FEW SPOTS...

AT 1235 AM CST WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWS THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAINFALL EXTENDING FROM COLUMBIA ACROSS FRANKLIN
AND MURFREESBORO.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING BRIEF
PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL AS THEY MOVE NORTHEAST AT 40 MILES
AN HOUR.

A LARGE AREA OF RAIN AND SHOWERS COVERED ALL OF MIDDLE
TENNESSEE...THE CUMBERLAND PLATEAU...SOUTHERN KENTUCKY AND
NORTHERN ALABAMA.

RAINFALL TOTALS OVER THE LAST 3 HOURS HAVE BEEN LESS THAN ONE-
INCH AT MOST LOCATIONS IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE.   THE GROUND IS NOW
SATURATED AND ADDITONAL RAINS WILL CAUSE CONSIDERABLE RUNOFF.

MOTORIST ARE URGED TO BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR WATER OVER ROADWAYS
WHERE PONDING OF WATER MAY OCCUR.

DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
