FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  615 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN WEST TEXAS
 
   ...DAWSON COUNTY...GAINES COUNTY
 
...A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN MOVING INTO GAINES AND
DAWSON COUNTIES...
 
AT 115 AM CDT...RAIN OF AROUND HALF AN INCH WITH SOME AREAS RECEIVING UP
TO 2 INCHES AS THE THUNDERSTORMS MOVE THROUGH WILL COMBINE WITH THE
ALREADY WET GROUND FROM THURSDAY MORNING THUNDERSTORMS TO PRODUCE
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS.
 
MUCH OF THE RAIN WILL COME IN A VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME SO STREETS,
ROADS, AND BAR DITCHES WILL FILL RAPIDLY WITH SWIFTLY RUNNING WATER.
 
PERSONS IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER
GROUND.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
