000 TTAA00 KMAF 121927 FFWMAF NMC025-130030- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND TX 225 PM CDT (125 PM MDT) THU MAY 12 1994 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM CDT (630 PM MDT) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO ...LEA COUNTY AT 225 PM CDT(145 PM MDT)...RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER PARTS OF LEA COUNTY NEW MEXICO. THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL BE CONTINUE TO REDEVELOP AND MOVE OVER SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO INTO THE EVENING HOURS TONIGHT. RAINFALL REPORTS FROM THE HOBBS AREA INDICATE THAT OVER 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN DURING THE LAST 72 HOURS AND 2.75 INCHES SINCE MIDNIGHT THIS MORNING. MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
