FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  430 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY
 
   ...CUMBERLAND COUNTY...RUSSELL COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY TONIGHT. IN CUMBERLAND
COUNTY MARROWBONE CREEK WEST OF THE CITY OF BURKESVILLE HAS NEAR
BANKFUL AND THREATENING SEVERAL ROADS IN THE AREA. IN ADDITION CROCUS
CREEK NORTH OF THE CITY WAS LIKEWISE NEAR BANKFUL AND ABOUT TO OVERFLOW
ONTO ADJACENT ROADWAYS.
 
IN RUSSELL COUNTY HALF ACRE ROAD WAS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER AS WERE
MT. EDEN ROAD AND OLD SANA RD.
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
