THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 AM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING PARISHES OF

CENTRAL LOUISIANA...RAPIDES

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS RAPIDES PARISH WITH THE
GROUND ALREADY SATURATED. ADDITIONAL RAINS...SOME HEAVY ARE EXPECTED TO
CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT. RAPIDES PARISH REPORTS SOME EVACUATIONS IN
PROGRESS AS WELL AS ROADS AND SUBDIVISIONS CLOSED.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...WITH HEAVY RAIN...CONTINUED TO DEVELOP FROM
NATCHEZ TO ALEXANDRIA SOUTH TO KINDER TO NEAR LAKE CHARLES AND FURTHER
SOUTH INTO THE GULF WATERS. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.
RESIDENTS IN RAPIDES PARISH SHOULD TAKE ACTION NOW TO SAVE
LIFE AND PROPERTY.

IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO ESCAPE FLOOD
WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS
RISING.
