000 TTAA00 KLBF 012143 TORLBF NEC171-012215- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 443 PM CDT FRI JUL 1 1994 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA ...WESTERN THOMAS COUNTY AT 435 PM CDT A TORNADO WAS REPORTED BY THE PUBLIC ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTH OF MULLEN NE...WHICH IS ABOUT 60 MILES NORTH OF NORTH PLATTE NE. THE TORNADO WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 15 MILES PER HOUR. PEA TO DIME SIZE HAIL WAS ALSO REPORTED ABOUT THE SAME TIME. THE TORNADO IS EXPECTED TO CROSS INTO THOMAS COUNTY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
