000 TTAA00 KJAN 270303 FFWJAN MSC151-270600- BULLETIN FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 959 PM CDT TUE JUL 26 1994 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...... IN NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI ...WASHINGTON COUNTY RADAR ESTIMATES OF RAINFALL INDICATE IN EXCESS OF TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE LAST 3 HOURS BETWEEN GREENVILLE AND TRIBBETT. ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS AS THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND MOVE OVER RAIN SOAKED GROUND. REPORTS OF NUMEROUS ROADS BEING FLOODED HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECEIVED ACROSS THE COUNTY. RADAR CONTINUES TO INDICATE CLUSTERS OF VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS AND MOVING EAST OVER WASHINGTON COUNTY. PERSONS IN WASHINGTON COUNTY SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR SHARP RISES ON STREAMS AND CREEKS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION IF RISING WATER IS OBERVED. AT NIGHT BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE SWIFTLY TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
