NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBUS OH
532 AM EDT FRI APR 29 1994

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING THROUGH CENTRAL OHIO.

AT 530 AM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN COLUMBUS INDICATED
A 20 MILE WIDE BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM 15 MILES
NORTH OF MANSFIELD...THROUGH COLUMBUS TO WEST UNION IN ADAMS COUNTY.  THTHUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR.

A RAPIDLY MOVING THUNDERSTORM PASSED OVER PORT COLUMBUS AIRPORT DROPPING
OVER A TENTH OF RAIN IN JUST FOUR MINUTES.  THIS THUNDERSTORM BRIEFLY
REDUCED THE VISIBILITY TO UNDER ONE QUARTER OF A MILE.  THESE STORMS MAY
PROjDUCE GUSTY WINDS TO NEAR 35 MILES AN HOUR...SMALL HAIL...AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS...BE PREPARED
FOR THESE CONDITIONS.
