SYNOPSIS:  THE AIR MASS WILL BECOME MOIST AND UNSTABLE BY LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING.  AN UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM MOVING IN FROM
THE WEST IS EXPECTED TO ACT ON THIS AIR MASS...AND PRODUCE SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS OVER MUCH OF THE REGION BEGINNING LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

THE GREATEST THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED IN THE COUNTIES OF
NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.  HOWEVER...THE ENTIRE REGION SHOULD
BE PREPARED FOR SEVERE tWEATHER.  THEREFORE...SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE

AT 1205 PM MDT STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING OVER EASTERN
KIT CARSON COUNTY IN EASTERN COLORADO.  THE STORM WAS 12 NORTH OF
STRATTON TO 12 MILES NORTH OF BURLINGTON.  THIS STORM WAS SHOWING A SLOW
SOUTHEAST MOVEMENT fAND SHOULD REMAIN OVER THE EASTERN PART OF KIT
CARSON COUNTY UNTIL 105 PM MDT.

SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY CONTAIN SMALL HAIL...GUSTY WINDS...DEADLY
LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS OF RAIN.

WILL MOVE OVER I-70 BETWEEN BETHUNE AND RULETON BY 110 PM MDT.
