THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY

   IN THE WEST CENTRAL PART OF MINNESOTA
      STEVENS

AT 1017 PM CDT THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING ACROSS EASTERN
TRAVERSE AND WESTERN GRANT COUNTIES HAS TURNED TO THE SOUTHEAST
AT 15 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO STEVENS COUNTY BY 1030 PM CDT.

THE WARNING FOR WILKIN COUNTY IS CANCELLED AS THE SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM HAS MOVED OUT OF THAT AREA.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION...MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.

THIS SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORM MAY PRODUCE EXTREMELY HEAVY RAIN THAT
CAN QUICKLY FLOOD SMALL STREAMS...LOW LYING AREAS...AND UNDERPASSES.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
