NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN TX
945 PM CDT MON OCT 24 1994

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT FOR SOUTH CENTRAL
TEXAS AND THE HILL COUNTRY...

AT 940 PM STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WERE ALONG A
LINE FROM 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF KILLEEN TO 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF LAKE
BUCHANAN.  THE STRONGEST STORM WAS JUST EAST OF OKALLA NEAR THE BELL-
BURNET COUNTY LINE.  OTHER STORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WERE SCATTERED ACROSS
NORTHERN SAN SABA COUNTY.

ALL OF THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MPH.  THE DPS OFFICE IN
LAMPASAS REPORTED GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN AS THESE STORMS MOVE THROUGH.
SMALL HAIL AND BRIEF FLOODING OF SOME ROADS MAY ALSO ACCOMPANY THESE
STORMS.  PEOPLE IS THESE AREAS SHOULD MOVE TO SHELTER AND AVOID DRIVING
INTO SPOTS WHERE WATER FLOWS OVER OR COVERS THE ROAD.
