CENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN UNTIL 200 AM EDT WEDNESDAY...

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES
UNTIL 200 AM EDT WEDNESDAY.  THESE COUNTIES ARE BAY... MIDLAND...
SAGINAW AND SHIAWASSEE.

AT 914 PM EDT...RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FROM BIG RAPIDS
TO JUST NORTH OF GRAND RAPIDS.  THIS LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING TO THE
NORTHEAST AT 45 MILES AN HOUR AND SHOULD BEGIN TO AFFECT THE WESTERN
PORTIONS OF MIDLAND AND SHIAWASSEE COUNTIES BETWEEN 1000 PM AND
1030 PM.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL
AND SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH
FOR A LARGE PART OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN.  THE WATCH
IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT.

THE WATCH COVERS AN AREA ROUGHLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM OSCODA TO
CADILLAC AND WEST OF A LINE FROM BAY CITY TO MARSHALL. THIS INCLUDES
THE CITIES OF BAY CITY... SAGINAW... MIDLAND... LANSING...
GRAND RAPIDS... MUSKEGON... BATTLE CREEK... KALAMAZOO... AND BENTON
HARBOR.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
IN AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA.  SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE HAIL WITH A
DIAMETER OF AT LEAST 3/4 INCH... OR WINDS OF AT LEAST 58 MILES AN HOUR.

IF ANY THUNDERSTORM SHOULD APPROACH... TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.  EVEN
