IN CENTRAL IOWA ...NORTHERN BOONE COUNTY AT 822 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO NEAR PILOT MOUND...ABOUT 50 MILES NORTHWEST OF DES MOINES. THE STORM PRODUCING THIS TORNADO WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. THE STORM PRODUCING THIS TORNADO WILL ARRIVE AT BOONE ABOUT 835 PM CDT. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
