NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS 556 PM CDT FRI SEP 2 1994 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS ...NORTHEASTERN STEVENS COUNTY AT 556 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A RAPIDLY DEVELOPING SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 1 MILE SOUTHEAST OF MOSCOW OR 20 MILES NORTHWEST OF LIBERAL MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR. THE STORM WILL REACH WOODS IN NORTHEAST STEVENS COUNTY BY 630 PM CDT. THIS STORM WAS LIKELY PRODUCING HAIL U2P TO AN INCH IN SIZE AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. IF YOU ARE BETWEEN MOSCOW AND WOODS YOU SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE SHELTER IN A REINFORCED BUILDING.
