000 TTAA00 KCLE 010352 RRA SVRCLE OHC043-010445- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CLEVELAND OH 1151 PM EDT FRI SEP 30 1994 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN OHIO ...ERIE COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT WATERS OF LAKE ERIE AT 1145 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR IN CLEVELAND SHOWED A POSSIBLE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THE CITY OF SANDUSKY IN ERIE COUNTY. IT WAS MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AROUND 35 MPH. IT WILL MOVE ALONG THE LAKESHORE TO NEAR THE CITY OF HURON AROUND 1215 TO 1230 AM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55| MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.

AT 1130 PM DOPLLER RADAR IN CLEVELAND SHOWED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM ALONG THE LAKESHORE NEAR PORT CLINTON. IT WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST ABOUT 30 MPH. A SKYWARN OBSERVER IN BAY VIEW...JUST SOUTHEAST OF PORT CLINTON...REPORTED THAT THE STORM WAS PRODUCING VERY FREQUENT LIGHTNING. THE STORM WILL ALSO LIKELY PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINS. SMALL HAIL IS ALSO POSSIBLE. THE STORM WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST ALONG THE LAKESHORE TO NEAR VERMILION BY AROUND 1230 AM EDT. IF YOU ARE OUTDOORS...MOVE TO A PLACE OF SHELTER IMMEDIATELY IF A STORM APPROACHES. MOTORISTS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR REDUCED VISIBILITIES DURING DOWNPOURS OF RAIN. STREETS MAY FLOOD QUICKLY.
