THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  515 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHEAST OHIO
 
   ...ASHTABULA COUNTY...LAKE COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT WATERS OF LAKE ERIE
 
 
AT 430 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
ACROSS LAKE AND NORTHERN ASHTABULA COUNTY. THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST
NORTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE NEAR
GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE AND KIRTLAND.
 
THREE-QUARTER INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED NEAR PERRY IN LAKE COUNTY AT 420 PM
AS ONE OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS PASSED THROUGH. THE STORMS WILL MOVE
THROUGH THE MADISON...ASHTABULA...AND CONNEAUT AREAS THROUGH 515 PM.
 
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE
WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
