TEXAS/OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES THUNDERSTORM OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AMARILLO TX

A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING ACROSS THE EASTERN TWO-THIRDS OF THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES.
HOWEVER...NONE OF THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME SEVERE.

SOUTHERLY WINDS OVERNIGHT HAVE PULLED LOW LEVEL MOISTURE BACK ACROSS THE
EASTERN TWO-THIRDS OF PANHANDLES WITH DEWPOINTS IN THE 50S GENERALLY EAST
OF A LINE FROM GUYMON TO HEREFORD.

THE RELATIVELY MOIST AND UNSTABLE SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL COLLIDE WITH A
NEARLY STATIONARY SURFACE BOUNDARY ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA AND EXTREME NORTHERN
TEXAS PANHANDLES TO PRODUCE ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS BY 4 PM.  SINCE THE
AIRMASS ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN PANHANDLES WILL ONLY BECOME
MARGINALLY UNSTABLE AND LITTLE IF ANY UPPER LEVEL SUPPORT EXISTS...NONE OF
THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME SEVERE.H
