THERE IS A SLIGHT TO MODERATE RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS TODAY AND
TONIGHT ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS PANHANDLES. THE MODERATE RISK
AREA IS ROUGHLY ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM KENTON OKLAHOMA TO
DALHART...BOYS RANCH...CANYON...AND PLAINVIEW TEXAS.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT EASTERN PARTS OF THE
PANHANDLES THROUGH MID-MORNING. UPSLOPE EASTERLY WINDS...AN
UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE...AND A MOIST AND VERY UNSTABLE AIRMASS
OVER THE REGION WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SEVERITY OF THE STORMS.

THIS MORNING'S STORMS WILL LIKELY LEAVE MANY WEAK SURFACE BOUNDARIES
TO HELP FOCUS REDEVELOPMENT OF THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
DAYTIME HEATING WILL RESULT IN CONTINUED VERY UNSTABLE CONDITIONS WITH
THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY TO PRODUCE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. SOUTHEAST
SURFACE WINDS SHIFTING TO SOUTHWEST AND WEST ALOFT WILL CREATE FAVORABLE
WIND PROFILES FOR LONG LASTING SEVERE STORMS AND THE POTENTIAL FOR
TORNADIC DEVELOPMENT AS WELL.
