FLASH FLOOD WARNING   EFFECTIVE UNTIL  215 AM CDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN THE TEXAS PANHANDLE
 
   ...SOUTHERN HANSFORD COUNTY
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AMARILLO HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD
WARNING FOR SOUTHERN HANSFORD COUNTY. AT 1205 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR
ESTIMATED RAINFALL OF UP TO 3 1/2 INCHES IN THE GRUVER AND SPEARMAN
AREAS SINCE AROUND 11 PM CDT. MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAINS
WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THIS AREA OVER THE NEXT HOUR. ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL OVER ALREADY SATURATED GROUNDS WILL RESULT IN POTENTIAL
FLASH FLOODING IN SOUTHERN HANSFORD COUNTY.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY
OR PAST POLICE BARRICADES. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS IN THE WATER...
ABANDON IT` IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND.  RAPIDLY RISING
WATER CAN ENGULF A VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS AND SWEEP THEM AWAY.
