...THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED OUT OF THE REGION...

AT 355 PM RADAR INDICATED THE STORM TO THE NORTHEAST OF TOPEKA IN
JEFFERSON COUNTY HAS MOVED INTO LEAVENWORTH COUNTY.  THE REST OF THE
REGION WAS RAINFREE.

A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR NORTHEAST AND EAST-CENTRAL KANSAS
UNTIL 8 PM.  PERSONS WITH OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES PLANN|ED FOR TONIGHT ARE
ADVISED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE WEATHER AND BE READY TO CHANGE PLANS
SHOULD STORMS REDEVELOP.

...TORNADO WATCH #551 CONTINUES FOR ALL OF CENTRAL AND NORTHCENTRAL
KANSAS UNTIL 8 PM CDT...

AT 442 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED AN INTENSE THUNDERSTORM OVER NORTHEAST
DICKINSON COUNTY MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.  THIS STORM WAS JUST
EAST OF MOONLIGHT OR 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF ABILENE.  THE TOWN OF UPLAND
IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM AND CAN EXPECT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...VERY
HEAVY RAINS AND POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL.

PERSONS ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS SHOULD CONTINUE TO CLOSELY
MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR THIS STATION FOR ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS AND
POSSJIBLE WARNINGS CONCERNING THIS VOLATILE WEATHER SITUATION.
