   DIVIDE...

THE ATMOSPHERE OVER MONTANA HAS BECOME VERY UNSTABLE AND NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS
ARE DEVELOPING ACROSS THE STATE.  EASTERLY SURFACE WINDS ARE BRINGING
LOW LEVEL MOISTURE INTO THE STATE...WHILE SOUTHWESTERLY FLOW ALOFT WILL
BRING A STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE ACROSS THE AREA.  THIS WILL COMBINE TO
ALLOW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP...SOME PRODUCING LARGE HAIL...DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING...DAMAGING WINDS...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS AND POSSIBLY TORNADOES.

THE TORNADO WATCHES ARE IN EFFECT UNTIL THE EARLY EVENING HOURS.  PEOPLE

THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE IN HELENA AND BUTTE. THUNDERSTORMS ARE NEAR
BOZEMAN AND SHOULD MOVE INTO THAT CITY BY 3PM.  SPOTTERS REPORT
SOFT SMALL HAIL NEAR CLANCY...10 MILES SOUTH OF HELENA.

THE STRONGEST STORMS AS DEPICTED BY RADAR ARE IN SOUTHERN CASCADE AND
EXTRME NORTHWEST MEAGHER COUNTY.  THEY CONTINUE TO MOVE TO THE
NORTHEAST AT 30 TO 35 MPH.

ALL OF SOUTHWEST MONTANA IS UNDER A TORNADO WATCH UNTIL 7PM MDT
