THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN POCATELLO HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  345 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... S...

   ...CLARK COUNTY...JEFFERSON COUNTY
 
THE U S FOREST SERVICE IN DUBOIS REPORTED THAT TWO TORNADOS TOUCHED DOWN
AT 205 PM MDT BETWEEN DUBOIS AND BIRCH CREEK. THEY WERE MOVING EAST OR
NORTHEAST. ANOTHER REPORT WAS RECEIVED FROM THE SHERIFF IN JEFFERSON
COUNTY THAT 4 FUNNEL CLOUDS AND ONE TORNADO WERE SPOTTED ABOUT TWO MILES
NORTH OF MUD LAKE. A PILOT REPORTED A BRIEF TORNADO AT MONTVIEW IN
NORTHWEST JEFFERSON COUNTY.
 
THESE TORNADOS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH THE
UPPER SNAKE HIGHLANDS. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BE SEVERE WITH DAMAGING
WINDS...HEAVY RAINFALL AND LARGE HAIL.
 
REPORT SEVERE WEATHER REPORTS TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN
POCATELLO COLLECT AT 233-0834.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWE~ST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
