SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MISSOULA MT 8 PM MDT SAT JUNE 26 1993 ...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING TOWARD MINERAL COUNTY... THIS EVENING...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING OVER WEST CENTRAL MONTANA. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED OVER NORTHEAST OREGON AND WERE MOVING INTO THE PANHANDLE OF IDAHO THROUGH THE LEWISTON...GRANGEVILLE AREA. THESE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO MINERAL COUNTY OF WEST CENTRAL MONTANA BETWEEN 9 TO 10 PM MDT THEN SPREAD NORTHEAST INTO THE SOUTHERN TWO THIRDS OF SANDERS COUNTY. MINERAL AND SANDERS COUNTIES OF WEST CENTRAL MONTANA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THESE THUNDERSTORMS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES. REPORTS OF SEVERE WEATHER SHOULD BE MADE TO YOUR NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY OR THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. ADDITIONAL STATEMENT WILL BE ISSUED AS NECCESSARY. END
