...TORNADO WATCH IN EFFECT FOR THE EASTERN THIRD OF THE TEXAS SOUTH
   PLAINS UNTIL 4 AM SUNDAY MORNING...

AT 1015 PM CDT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR AT LUBBOCK
INDICATED ISOLATED LIGHT RAINSHOWERS OVER BAILEY COUNTY OF THE
SOUTH PLAINS. MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION WAS EVAPORATING BEFORE
REACHING THE GROUND. WIDELY SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS WERE ALSO
INDICATED OVER PORTIONS OF THE PANHANDLE TO THE EAST OF AMARILLO.
MOVEM,ENT OF THE PRECIPITATION WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AROUND 15 MPH.

...A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE EASTERN THIRD OF THE
   TEXAS SOUTH PLAINS UNTIL 4 AM SUNDAY MORNING...

AT 1115 PM CDT LUBBOCK RADAR INDICATED LIGHT TO MODERATE WIDELY
SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS THE OVER NORTHWEST CORNER OF BAILEY COUNTY.
ANOTHER LIGHT SHOWER WAS LOCATED ABOUT 10 MILES NORTH OF SPRINGLAKE
IN LAMB COUNTY. MOVEMENT OF ALL PRECIPITATION WAS NORTHEAST AROUND
15 MPH.

RAIN ALOFT...OR VIRGA...WAS CAUSING ISOLATED POCKETS OF COOLER AIR
WHICH IN TURN HAS PRODUCED SOME SHORT-LIVED GUSTY WIND.

AT 1201 AM CDT...LUBBOCK RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
HAD DEVELOPED RAPIDLY OVER THE NORTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH
PLAINS.  THE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHED FROM SOUTH OF CROSBYTON
TO SOUTHERN MOTLEY COUNTY INTO COTTLE COUNTY.  THE STRONGEST STORMS
WERE NEAR ROARING SPRINGS...NEAR PADUCAH AND 10 MILES EAST OF
MATADOR.  MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.

SMALL HAIL...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND GUSTY WINDS CAN BE EXPECTED
WITH THESE STORMS.

REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS THAT TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE IN
AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS MAY ALSO

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 5AM CDT FOR FLOYD...
MOTLEY...COTTLE...AND CROSBY COUNTIES...

AT 1250 AM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF
INTENSIFYING THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM COTTLE COUNTY ON THE
NORTHEASTERN SOUTH PLAINS SOUTHWESTWARD TO NORTHERN LYNN COUNTY.
THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE IN EASTERN COTTLE COUNTY 8 MILES EAST OF
PADUCAH...AND IN NORTHERN DICKENS COUNTY 10 MILES NORTH OF DICKENS.

SMALL HAIL...STRONG WINDS...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING CAN BE EXPECTED
WITH THESE STORMS.  PEA TO MARBLE SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED AT 1245 AM
IN DICKENS AND AT 1250 AM IN SLATON...SOUTHEASTERN LUBBOCK COUNTY.

MOVEMENT OF THE STORMS WAS NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
