...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE APPROACHING THE ST LOUIS AREA...

AT 500 PM...A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM WESTERN ILLINOIS TO 40
MILES NORTHWEST OF ST LOUIS AND DOWN INTO SOUTHERN MISSOURI.  THIS LINE
WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR...PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN...STRONG
GUSTY WIND AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.

WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH WERE REPORTED ACROSS SOUTHERN PIKE COUNTY
MISSOURI AROUND 500 PM.

THESE STORMS WILL CONTINUE TO EDGE CLOSER TO ST LOUIS.  THIS LINE WILL
MOVE INTO ST CHARLES COUNTY BY 530 PM AND INTO THE ST LOUIS METRO AREA
BETWEEN 615 AND 645 PM.  IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS...BE PREPARED TO TAKE
SHELTER OR MOVE INSIDE UNTIL STORMS PASS.
