NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO
335 PM CDT TUE JUL 13 1993

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH
FOR PARTS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST MISSOURI UNTIL 10 PM CDT.  SOME OF THE
CITIES INCLUDED IN THE WATCH ARE ST LOUIS...HANNIBAL...COLUMBIA AND
SPRINGFIELD.

AT 330 PM...THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING FROM NORTHEAST INTO CENTRAL
AND SOUTHWEST MISSOURI.  THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE LOCATED OVER THE
CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE.  THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT
25 MILES AN HOUR.

SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL BECOME SEVERE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS
EVENING.  HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS
WHICH MAY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING.

PEOPLE IN SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL MISSOURI SHOULD KEEP INFORMED OF THE
LOCAL WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BE READY TO MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE
