FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI
 
   ...NORTHERN ST CHARLES COUNTY
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS BEEN ADVISED BY THE ST. CHARLES COUNTY
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY THAT THE LEVEE NORTH OF IFFRIG ROAD HAS
BROKEN.
 
RESIDENTS NORTH OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS IN OLD TOWN ST. PETERS AND AREAS
NORTH OF ST PETERS TO THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER...INCLUDING HIGHWAY B AND
C IS THE AREA MOST LIKELY TO BE IN THE IMMEDIATE PATH OF THE FLOOD
WATERS FROM THIS LEVEE BREAK.
 
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.
RESIDENTS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD EVACUATE IMMEDIATEY.  IN ADDITION TO
SPILLAGE FROM THE BREAK...THE RIVER CONTINUES TO RISE AND WILL CONTINUE
TO INCREASE IN DEPTH FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
