AT 1 PM MDT A COUPLE OF SMALL THUNDERSTORMS HAD FORMED OVER LAKE MCCONAUGHY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE TO GROW IN SIZE AND INTENSIFY AS THEY MOVE EAST AND NORTHEAST. GUSTY WINDS FROM 30 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS. CAMPERS AND BOATERS IN THE LAKE MCCONAUGHY AREA SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE STRONG WINDS AS THE THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ALSO PRODUCING NUMEROUS LIGHTNING STRIKES. MORE THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA THIS AFTERNOON AND SOME OF THESE MAY BECOME SEVERE.
