FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA
 
   ...COLFAX COUNTY...SOUTHERN STANTON COUNTY
 
RAINFALLS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES FELL ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN STANTON AND
NORTHERN COLFAX COUNTIES THIS MORNING. BRANCHES OF MAPLE CREEK WERE
REPORTED OUT OF THEIR BANKS NORTHWEST OF HOWELLS AND BANKFULL AT HOWELLS
AND WERE STILL RISING. THESE SMALL STREAMS WILL CONTINUE TO RISE FOR
SEVERAL MORE HOURS THIS MORNING.
 
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE
FLOOD WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER
BEGINS RISING.  BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER
TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING.
