THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
      EASTERN BOYD...

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      WESTERN KNOX...

AT 940 PM CST THIS SATURDAY EVENING FLOODING CONTINUED ALONG PONCA
CREEK IN EASTERN BOYD AND WESTERN KNOX COUNTIES FROM SPENCER TO
TO LYNCH TO VERDEL.  THE FLOODING IS DUE TO MELTING SNOW RUNOFF
AND ICE ACTION ALONG THE CREEK.  A COUNTY ROAD BRIDGE WAS TAKEN
OUT AT BRISTOW AND WATER WAS OVER THE BRIDGE SOUTH OF LYNCH.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOOD WATERS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

 IF YOU LIVE ALONG PONCA CREEK IN BOUYD AND KNOX COUNTIES OF NEBRASKA
 ...YOU SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR POTENTIAL FLOODING AND SEEK HIGHER
 GROUND.
