NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS
150 AM CST WED NOV 17 1993

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEAST RANKIN...SIMPSON
AND SMITH COUNTIES UNTIL 515 AM CST.

AT 150 AM CST A LINE OF THUNDERSTORM...SOME STRONG...EXTENDED ACROSS
PARTS OF EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI.

THE LEADING EDGE OF THIS LINE STRETCHED FROM COLLINSVILLE TO RALEIGH
TO NEAR BOGUE CHITTO AND MAGNOLIA.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER NEWTON...NEAR RALEIGH...MAGEE...NEW
HEBRON...AND MONTICELLO.  OTHER STRONG STORMS WERE OVER EASTERN SCOTT
COUNTY.

MANY OF THESE STRONG STORMS WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY GUSTY WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 35 MILES AN HOUR...BRIEF TORRENTIAL RAIN...AND POSSIBLY HAIL AS THEY
MOVE TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR.

THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN
HOUR.

PERSONS IN THE PATH OF THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT
THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS...AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION IF THREATENING
WEATHER APPROACHES OR A WARNING IS ISSUED.
