AT 727 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAIN
30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF EVANSVILLE BETWEEN JUNCTION ILLINOIS AND
MORGANFIELD KENTUCKY. A REPORT FROM THE GALLATIN COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE
INDICATES OVER 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN AND ROUTE 13 HAD OVER HALF A
FOOT OF WATER OVER THE ROAD IN SOME AREAS. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING
ELITTLE.
 
DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS THAT HAVE WATER ACROSS THE ROAD. DO NOT ALLOW
CHILDREN TO PLAY IN OR NEAR FLOOD WATERS.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANG.ERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
