THE STRONGEST STORM WAS NEAR CARTHAGE... 28 MILES SOUTH OF BURLINGTON IOWA...WHERE HEAVY RAIN AND SMALL HAIL WAS REPORTED. MOVEMENT OF THE STORMS WAS TO THE SOUTH SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. MORE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING OVER EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN IOWA AND NORTHEASTERN MISSOURI AND THESE WILL LIKELY BE MOVING ACROSS THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER INTO WESTERN ILLINOIS DURING THE NEXT HOUR.
