ILZ005>007-009-040900- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEORIA IL 320 AM CDT FRI JUN 04 1993 ...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH CONTINUES FOR A PORTION OF WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS... AT 315 AM CDT... SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING TO THE SOUTH OF A LINE FROM BURLINGTON TO PEORIA. THE HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION WAS DETECTED AROUND BLANDINSVILLE AND MACOMB...30 MILES SOUTHEAST OF BURLINGTON. MOVEMENT OF THE SHOWERS AND STORMS CONTINUED TO BE TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. ALTHOUGH NO SEVERE WEATHER HAS BEEN REPORTED ACROSS THE REGION...SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. CONDITIONS REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE WEATHER OVER HANCOCK...MCDONOUGH...FULTON...MASON AND SCHUYLER COUNTIES UNTIL 7 AM.
