A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN POSTED FOR PARTS OF WESTERN AND
CENTRAL ILLINOIS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES NORTH OF
QUINCY TO 40 MILES NORTHEAST OF SPRINGFIELD. THIS INCLUDES SCHUYLER
AND MASON COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS.

AT 1105 PM... STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE NEAR QUINCY AND SUTTER... 20 MILES
NORTH OF QUINCY IN HANCOCK COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SLIGHTLY SOUTH OF
EAST AT 25 MPH. THE STORM NEAR QUINCY...WHICH WAS THE MOST INTENSE WILL NOT
AFFECT SCHUYLER OR MASON COUNTY HOWEVER CONDITIONS REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH TONIGHT...

AT 1145 PM CDT...THE LEADING EDGE OF A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING INTO CENTRAL ILLINOIS...AND EXTENDED FROM 40
MILES NORTH OF PEORIA...TO 25 MILES NORTHWEST OF SPRINGFIELD...TO 45
MILES SOUTHWEST OF SPRINGFIELD.

SEVERAL STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE DETETCTED OVER WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS
...WEST OF A LINE FROM ABOUT 30 MILES NORTH OF QUINCY...TO 45 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF QUINCY.  THE STORMS AND SHOWERS WERE MOVING EAST AT
ABOUT 25 MPH.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD MOVE INTO WESTERN CASS AND MORGAN COUNTIES
IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS BETWEEN 1200 AND 1230 AM.  IN ADDITION TO DEADLY
LIGHTNING...VERY HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLY SOME
SMALL HAIL SHOULD BE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.
