OHZ005-010-290015- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DAYTON OH 710 PM EDT FRI MAY 28 1993 THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH WHICH WAS IN EFFECT FOR THE MIAMI VALLEY AND WEST CENTRAL OHIO HAS BEEN CANCELLED. AT 708 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE MIAMI VALLEY AND WEST CENTRAL OHIO. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH. THUNDERSTORMS WITH BRIEF HEAVY RAIN WERE IN ALLEN COUNTY NEAR LIMA OHIO. THESE STORMS MAY ALSO PRODUCE WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH AND POSSIBLE SMALL HAIL. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE A THREAT ACROSS THE THE MIAMI VALLEY AND WEST CENTRAL THROUGH THE EVENING AND EARLY NIGHT HOURS. HOWEVER THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE NO LONGER EXPECTED TO BECOME SEVERE.
