...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF THE
CINCINNATI TRI STATE AREA UNTIL 1100 PM EDT (1000 PM EST)...

...A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST OHIO THROUGH TONIGHT...

AT 735 PM EDT...WEATHER SERVICE RADAR DETECTED AN AREA OF SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN A 140 MILE WIDE BAND THAT EXTENDED FROM
WINCHESTER KENTUCKY 70 MILES SOUTHEAST OF CINCINNATI...TO 70 MILES NORTH
OF INDIANAPOLIS. THESE STORMS HAVE WEAKED SLIGHTLY SINCE 530 PM
EDT.

THE MOST INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN A 50 MILE WIDE BAND THAT EXTENDED
FROM DAYTON OHIO...TO 75 MILES NORTH OF DAYTON. AN ADDITIONAL LINE OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM 30 MILES EAST OF
INDIANAPOLIS...TO 70 MILES SOUTHWEST OF INDIANAPOLIS.

ALL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

THE GREATER CINCINNATI AREA MAY SEE THUNDERSTORMS REDEVELOPING AFTER
900 PM EDT. PERSONS WITHIN THE TRI STATE SHOULD STAY TUNED TO NOAA
WEATHER RADIO OR THE COMMERCIAL MEDIA FOR ANY POTENTIALLY SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS THAT MAY DEVELOP LATER THIS EVENING.

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR UNION...MADISON...AND
FAYETTE COUNTIES UNTIL 11 PM EDT.

A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF CENTRAL OHIO TONIGHT.

AT 755 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO WESTERN FAYETTE COUNTY FROM GREENE AND CLINTON
COUNTIES.  THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR...AND
WILL MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHERN HALF OF FAYETTE COUNTY AND INTO SOUTHERN
MADISON COUNTY BETWEEN 8 PM AND 9 PM.

THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE BRIEF VERY HEAVY RAIN...LIGHTNING STRIKES...
GUSTY WINDS TO 35 MILES AN HOUR...AND POSSIBLY SMALL HAIL.  THE BRIEF
VERY HEAVY RAIN COULD CAUSE PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS AND LOW-LYING
AREAS.  IF THESE STORMS HOLD TOGETHER...THEY COULD REACH THE COLUMBUS
METROPOLITAN AREA BETWEEN 930 PM AND 10 PM.

OTHER STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING ACROSS WESTERN OHIO...AND WILL
MOVE INTO CENTRAL OHIO AND REACH UNION AND MARION COUNTIES BETWEEN 10 PM
AND 11 PM.

PEOPLE THROUGHOUT CENTRAL OHIO SHOULD SEEK INSIDE SHELTER IF STORMS
APPROACH.  WITH THE GROUND ALREADY SATURATED FROM RECENT HEAVY
RAINFALL...ANY ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL TONIGHT WILL LIKELY CAUSE MORE
FLOODING.  PEOPLE LIVING IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS AND NEAR STREAMS AND
CREEKS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
