FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  815 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......

...FLOOD WARNING ISSUED FOR THE CHRISTINA RIVER...

AT 315 PM EST THE RIVER GAGE AT COOCHES BRIDGED ON THE CHRISTINA RIVER
WAS AT 8.56 FEET OR JUST BELOW FLOOD STAGE.  FLOOD STAGE FOR THE
CHRISTINA RIVER AT COOCHES BRIDGES IS 9.0 FEET.  STEADY MODERATE
RAINFALL OVER DELAWARE FOR THE PAST FEW HOURS ALONG WITH THE MELTING
SNOW HAS PUSHED THE CHRISTINA RIVER TO NEAR BANKFULL.  RAIN SHOULD
CONTINUE TO FALL ACROSS DELAWARE UNTIL THIS EVENING.  THE CHRISTINA
SHOULD CREST ABOVE FLOOD STAGE JUST BEFORE 400 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
