THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......

IN NORTH DELAWARE

   ...NORTH NEW CASTLE COUNTY

THE BRANDYWINE IS OUT OF BANKS IN PARTS OF WILMINGTON AND IS CAUSING
SOME FLOOD PROBLEMS. THE DUPONT PLANT NEAR RT 141 IS EXPERIENCING SOME
FLOODING NOW.

THE BRANDYWINE HAS CRESTED UPSTREAM AT CHADS FORD NEAR 6AM THIS MORNING
AT A HEIGHT OF 10.9 FEET. THE BRANDYWINE NORMALLY CRESTS IN WILMINGTON
AROUND 4 HOURS LATER...SO IT SHOULD CREST IN WILMINGTON AROUND 10
AM THIS MORNING AT...OR JUST BELOW...10 FEET.

ALSO...HIGH TIDE AT THE MARINE TERMINAL IS AT 915 AM THIS MORNING
AND THIS HAS SLOWED THE BRANDYWINE FROM EMPTYING INTO THE CHRISTINA
AND DELAWARE RIVERS. HOWEVER...WITH THE TIDE ABOUT TO CHANGE...THIS
SHOULD HELP MATTERS AND THE BRANDYWINE SHOULD CREST NEAR 10 AM THIS
MORNING AND THEN GRADUALLY START TO FALL..
