THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......

IN NORTH DELAWARE

   ...NORTH CENTRAL NEW CASTLE COUNTY

THE RED CLAY IS AT 5.2 FEET AND CONTINUES TO RISE.  FLOOD STAGE FOR
THE RED CLAY CREEK IS 5.5 FEET.  THE CREEK IS EXPECTED TO GO OUT OF
ITS BANKS WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR.  THE HEAVY RAIN HAS MOVED NORTH INTO
PENNSYLVANIA AND ONLY VERY LIGHT RAIN WAS DETECTED OVER NEW CASTLE
COUNTY OF DELAWARE.  THE WATER LEVEL WILL CONTINUE TO RISE AS SMALL
CREEKS AND RUNOFF ARE STILL FEEDING THE RED CLAY CREEK BUT WILL LEVEL
OFF OVER THE NEXT TWO TO 3 HOURS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
