NEARING THE NORTHERN EDGE OF MARION AND CHASE COUNTIES OF CENTRAL
KANSAS.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAIN
...PEA TO MARBLE SIZE HAIL...WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH...AND FREQUENT
DEADLY LIGHTNING.  RADAR HAS ESTIMATED RAINFALL RATES OF ONE TO TWO
INCHES PER HOUR OUT OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS.

THE LEADING EDGE EXTENDED FROM 20 MILES EAST OF LAWRENCE...TO 15 MILES
