THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS

   ...ALLEN COUNTY...LABETTE COUNTY...NEOSHO COUNTY
   ...WILSON COUNTY...WOODSON COUNTY...MONTGOMERY

HEAVY RAINS WILL CONTINUE OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS FOR SEVERAL MORE HOURS.
THE RAIN WILL CAUSE SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS TO LEAVE BANKS. SOME
ROADS HAVE BEEN CLOSED.

IF YOUR ARE NEAR A CREEK OR SMALL STREAM...SEEK HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY. THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN ONE FLOOD RELATED FATALITY
IN KANSAS THIS YEAR. DON'T YOU BE NUMBER TWO.
